So I have started a new class in school. I was excited about this one to. I was going to design web pages, at least that is what I thought. I get to school, sit down and get ready to learn a new program, Adobe Dreamweaver. My teacher shows up and tells us not to worry about Dreamweaver right now, but first we must learn the language of the internet. This language he was telling us about was html, and it is not as easy as you would think it would be. With carrot tops, backslashes, and command words. you really need to know what these things are before even trying to build a webpage. So after a few days of looking over and typing this code, I figured out what it all was.
Html is nothing but the content of a webpage. The CSS which I willl talk about in later post controls everything on how the site looks. The reason my teacher taught us this way, was that not to rely on what the program shows you on screen. You should be able to look at the code and see what the site is going to look like. I have only scratched the surface of web design and I love it. I cant wait to see whats next.
